Tac4 Rules and Regulations

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Protective eye wear must be worn during game play and when walking into a "hot zone". Never take your eye protection off during a game. Most sun glasses are not approved eye protection. Any goggle or pair of glasses with an ANSI approval label will work.

SPORTSMANSHIP
Remember that Airsoft is a game that we play with our good friends that we have made through Airsoft. Nothing is so important that it is worth ruining a friendship over. Here are a couple of rules to help you be the supreme good sport. GUN RULES
400fps limit on AEG's & GBB pistols w/.20 gram BB's (no more than 1.5 joules) & 500fps* on Sniper rifles w/.20 gram BB's (*no more than 2.3 joules) Battery and gas powered guns that average 265 - 400fps with a rate of fire up to 700-1200 rounds per minute). We advise not to bring Springer rifles or pistols as a primary weapon, with the exception of bolt action sniper rifles.

AGE REQUIREMENTS
You must be 16 years old. *Some exceptions may apply*

PLAYER HITS
When a player is hit, he/she must call out, "Hit!" then put on a blaze orange head-cap/gloves and raise hands in the air, signaling you are out of play.If you do not have an orange cap, raise your gun OVER YOUR HEAD as you walk off the field.

A hit player must wait for their medic (if applicable. See medic rules) or return to the re-spawn point. It is a good idea to yell out "dead man, walking!" or something of that nature to prevent getting blasted by other players while exiting the battlefield.

*If you are "dead", you CANNOT say anything to other players in play except "medic" or "dead man walking". Don't give a single clue as to how you were killed or where you were killed (i.e. Don't walk out saying "Surrendered Man Walking!") That is telling your teammates that the enemy is close enough to surrender, and in a way, you would be cheating. Dead Men don't talk. This is very important to the game-play experience.

You may leave your gun, ammo, radio or anything else in the battlefield after getting hit for other players to use. If you do, the items must be left in the exact location where you "died". You cannot walk toward your teammates while "dead" and hand them valuable items. They have to get it themselves. The loaning of weapons or items is encouraged since it keeps the game going and makes it fun for everyone - but by no means do you have to do this.

MEDICS
Some game-rules may contain medics. If you are killed you may call out for a medic. If he does not get to you within 5 minutes, you have bled out and you must return to the spawn point, and then go back into the action. Medics can kill and be killed like all other players. The Medic rules apply to Medics as well.

Injuries, Incapacitation, and Death The Medic reviving process
All medics must use the following process to heal someone back into the game.
  1. Ask "where are you hit?" & "How many hits did you take?"
  2. Take the injured person's orange cap or glove off and insert it into their pocket.
  3. At this point they are back in play.
Since there is a 5-minute maximum wait time for getting healed, we recommend you carry a watch on you to keep track.

Wearing an orange head cap or raising your hands above your head should prevent you from getting hit while waiting for a medic.

What does and does not count as a hit? A player seems to not call their hits?
If you are 100% positive you hit someone by seeing the BB's hit them, but they are not responding, don't fight or yell at them. Be civilized about accusing someone of being hit. It's very possible that you are wrong about the hit. Also, it is very common to be so involved in the game to not realize when you've been hit. If someone is not responding after you hit him or her, just hit that person again - this is probably the easiest way to resolve the matter.

Any serious issues or disputes should be taken to an official staff member

GUN HITS
When your gun is hit, it is considered disabled and cannot be used for the rest of that scenario. You must then switch to your backup weapon. If you don't have one, try borrowing one from a teammate (treat a borrowed weapon as if it were the most precious thing on earth).

You are still in the game, be creative. If you want to get back to using your Primary, go to the "Regen spot", and then return to the game.

BLIND FIRE
Do NOT blind fire into or out of buildings. A person could be around the corner within 20 feet. Keep it safe by knowing what you are shooting at.

KNIFE KILLS
Claiming a knife kill is valid only if a player can tag their opponent with an approved rubber knife on an area that is vital (Chest, Back, Neck). All other forms of physical contact are prohibited. It is okay to simulate a throat cutting movement on your victim. Just be gentle.

What you cannot do with a knife! SURRENDER RULES
When engaging someone within 20 feet, a surrender must be made. Surrender is only valid if all of the following conditions are met.
  1. The AEG you are using MUST be able to shoot BB's. Surrendering cannot be done with a broken/hit gun. If your AEG stops functioning for any reason (like running out of battery power or has been hit by a BB) a surrender cannot be made.
  2. You must have a clear shot. Meaning, you must have your AEG pointed DIRECTLY at the person with a 100% probability that you will hit your target. You absolutely must know that you are fully capable of hitting your opponent before calling for his/her surrender.
Once you know beyond a doubt that you can hit your opponent, you can call out, "Surrender!" (LOUDLY! Make sure you are heard). If ALL previous rules have been followed, your opponent is now "hit" and game play continues as if that person had been shot.

You CANNOT surrender multiple people with a single "surrender!" If you encounter multiple people within 20 feet, you must point your AEG at each individual (following all rules stated above) and call for each opponents surrender one at a time.

If someone calls a bad surrender on you
By not following the above stated rules, you can call them on it. Discussing it should be fast and simple. Resolve the issue in a calm and expedient manner.

If you are accused of a bad surrender
Listen to what the other player is saying and accept the possibility you made a bad call. There is no scenario that can't be resolved quickly and effectively. Just be sure you follow ALL surrender rules at all times and there will never be a need for dispute. If there is any arguing, both players will be asked to go out. Any form or agreement is fine, as long as it's fair to all players involved and there is no arguing.

What does not count as a valid surrender?
  1. Blindly surrendering around a corner does not count. You absolutely must know that you are fully capable of hitting your opponent before calling for his/her surrender. If you have to take a shot, aim low at feet level.
  2. Calling surrender on a person, that is, running past a window or doorway does not count. You probably would have missed anyway. You absolutely must know that you are fully capable of hitting your opponent before calling for his/her surrender. Full-auto doesn't guarantee a hit
  3. Getting caught off-guard and wildly swinging your gun in the air screaming, "Surrender", does not count. You have to have your AEG pointed directly at your opponent and you must absolutely know that you are fully capable of hitting your opponent before calling for his/her surrender. Full-auto doesn't guarantee a hit.
RESUPPLY DURING PLAY
If a player needs any supplies off the field (i.e. BB's) that player can leave to get what they need, however, they must leave and return as if they have died.
